Who was ...? Or: Mata Hari
I do not know if many people that way, but I always come back again to books on topics where I think: "That tells me something, but actually I have no idea what this is about ...
So it was, for example, even with this impulse purchase that resulted from the fatal time manslaughter in Mayer's;) is
Mata Hari Philippe Collas
Mata Hari is one of the historical figures. familiar to all, but really something of which nobody knows. That was one of the reasons why the book I was immediately angesporchen, even if modern history is actually not that my favorite subject.
The biography of Collas still has a certain fascination in that it is mainly concentrated on the opposite traits to reconstruct from the sources of Leif AGAINST , and the chaos of war (WWI) can come into play only at the margin, where they are important to the personal story of his main character.
it could become the bottom line is a very interesting character study of a much more interesting woman in a very complicated and difficult situation and time.
Sometimes I have the chronological sequence of Kaptiel bit confused - and the fact that there are sooo many short chapters, but for a bedtime reading is really good. One would not waver even with only 4hours sleep to work, just because you "wanted to read the chapter yet finished "...;)
But the bottom line was the narrative - albeit a bit too flowery purely for scientific Analysis;) - exciting and interesting and the subject fascinating. I will read the book again and forgive determined with a 5 of 5 fur stoles!
